Trattoria in Italy is a more family style, home cooking kind of restaurant. In Tuscany and Emilia Romagna trattoria is very popular, especially on Sundays. Families gather together, jump in the car and drive thru unwinding roads among the green hills to get a big juicy grilled steak, or rosemary roasted suckling pig with potatoes, tortellini and ravioli, big bowls of soups.  Here at Canneti we recreated the feelings and the food of those Sundays!

Dear Friends, this Easter Menu gathers together some of the best Sonoma seasonal ingredients. Every Italian Family consumes hard boiled Eggs on Easter, a light salad to follow and a great Florentine dish. Strozzapreti are egg-less Cork Screw Pasta to exalt the fava beans “novelle” and the fresh Sheep Cheese. Local Goat or Lamb, according what is available from Farms served with a lusty creamy Potato Gratin and Artichokes. The Goat or Lamb will be available also on the regular menu. Torta di Riso..literally Rice Cake is a bed of rice and a soft layer of crème brule..a great classic from my Grandma Fina.
