Spring is here and the Russian River Valley is blooming! I already introduced in the menu many new ingredients from Preston Farm, Strong Harm Farm and Shone Farm such as Puntarelle, fava leaves and fava flowers, spaghetti squash, green garlic, cardoons and this very week I will get Canneti first Lamb from Preston Farm.
Many news in the beverage section as well. I selected a new Vernaccia from Checchi,with deeper fragrances of flowers and a noticeable fermentation. Unti Winery provided us with their fabulous Shyra and I selected a fresh Tuscan Cabernet from Frescobaldi.
But the big news is that I will have soon Oyster Stout from Henhouse in Petaluma. Canneti will be one of the very few restaurants in all the Bay Area to carry this very peculiar beer produced for just one month!!!
